World Copper Use Bigger Than Predicted
A new report shows world total copper consumption might exceed 43Mt by 2035. That means every person on the planet will use 5.0kgs of copper a year by then.

 

China Raises Motor Energy Efficiency
ICA China took part in a major standards meeting with leading government & industry participants which agreed to raise the minimum energy efficiency level of low-voltage three-phase motors in China to IE3 level. At the same time JIE Motor, one of the country’s top 3 local gear box manufacturers, is assessing the use copper rotor motors for their IE3 motors.

China’s “Copper Inside”
ICA China’s “Copper Inside” program promotes the use of copper technology in electrical appliances with industry partners. The program currently includes 11 major companies producing refigeration, freezing, heating, air conditioning and washing machines, with talks currently underway between ICA China and InSinkErator, the biggest kitchen waste processor manufacturer in the world.

Fire Safe India
ICA India continues to take a leading role in improving building electrical standards and recently held a major Seminar on Electrical Fire Safety in Public Buildings in Chennai. The event “FIRE SAFE INDIA 2019” brought together safety experts, electrical consultants, cable manufacturers and peak bodies to revise the fire survival standard, with ICA’s Copper Fire Survival Cable promoted as model.
