Energy Efficient Air Conditioners In China
ICA China has commissioned ChinaIOL to undertake market research on current and future issues for central air conditioners (CAC) covering 10 typical categories, including unitary, ducted, multi-connected, chillers and computer room ACs. The research will consult with China’s major CAC manufacturers and explore attitudes to requirements for improved energy efficiency and any technical solutions they are planning or researching.

China’s Clean Energy Standards
ICA China and the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Wind Machinery held a training course for 31 institutions on drafting wind energy technical standards in China. Upgrading Chinese technical standards to IEC standards is key to China’s overseas markets, with a major focus on boosting international uptake of permanent magnetic DD wind turbine from 21% to the 38% market share in China wind turbine market.

Chinese Copper Aquaculture
Hainan Yuxiaoqing Tech Company, which is farming Cobia or Black Kingfish, is making the switch from nylon nets that have to replaced every 10 days due to fouling to copper mesh ones for their fish cages. The company has a 5-year-plan is to produce 1,000 cages using 20 tons of copper per cage or around 20,000 tons potential copper tonnage.
At the same time Jiangxi Copper made a study trip to Taizhou Fishery Bureau and the Copper Aquaculture site to better understand the market. Mr. Yang, Director of Taizhou Fishery Bureau, said in welcoming them “with more than 7 years partnership and synergy with ICA, copper aquaculture has already changed the traditional way of farming in his area and had a great impact.”
